Two wines from la casa de las vides



CUP

VINEYARD

This wine is elaborated with Tempranillo and Syrah grapes harvested from our own vineyards, situated in the “El Galtero” estate, in the heart of the Albaida Valley just south of Valencia at 400 meters above sea level. The white clay soils, typical of the area, give the wine an incredible personality with its bold acidity and fresh flavors. The vines are trained in a trellis system, facing west, whereby allowing for perfect amount of both sun and ventilation.

WINEMAKING

After careful elaboration, including two weeks of maceration followed by malolactic fermentation, the wine ages to new Bordelais French and American oak over the course of four months.

WINE PROFILE

The wine is a dark cherry in color with subtle flecks of vibrant purple. On the nose, the CUP is expressive and intense, showing ripe dark fruit aromas, among delicate notes of spice and smoke. Good acidity in the mouth, enhancing the rich flavors of licorice and dark mature fruit, followed by secondary flavors of smoke and spice that slowly taper off into a long and luxurious finish.

Alcohol 13.5% vol. Bottle 75cl.

Aculius

VINEYARD

This wine is elaborated with Tempranillo, Merlot and Syrah grapes harvested from our own vineyards, situated in the “El Galtero” estate, in the heart of the Albaida Valley just south of Valencia at 600 meters above sea level.The white clay soils, typical of the area, give the wine an incredible personality with its bold acidity and fresh flavors.

WINEMAKING

After careful elaboration, including three weeks of maceration followed by malolactic fermentation in new fine-grained, medium toasted, Bordelais French and American oak barrels, the wines were aged in the same barrels for 12 months, where the wine acquired both volume and unctuousness. After bottling, the wine remained in house for several months

WINE PROFILE

The wine is dark cherry in color with a deep shimmering intensity. On the nose, rich smoke and spice, imparted by the wood, slowly float out of the glass, followed by tropical aromas of coconut, clove and walnut. In the mouth, the Aculius is expressive, with a seamless integration of both wood and fruit, leading to a long and persistent finish.
